GCHQ wants to shape the security market in the UK.
This comes towards the end of the Robert Hannigan, Director GCHQ speech yesterday at IA15.
Seriously – do we really want the organization that Snowden described as ‘worse then the NSA’ to have any say in how we secure our data? Do we really want the organization that seeks access to all of our data, and to deny us our right to encrypt it, to have any say whatsoever in the security industry.
But what will be really, really scary will be the number of sycophantic security companies chasing fat government contracts that will come out in support of Hannigan over the next few days.Submitted in: Expert Views, Kevin Townsend's opinions |
